SOMNIUM – The great escape

“Our minds are intricate networks of Ideas, thoughts and emotions. Some of them are trapped in the depths of our unconscious and can only be accessed while asleep. The beauty of dreams is that you loose control of your mind and connect with an obscure part of yourself.

By accessing and interpreting dreams, one can connect with themselves on a deeper level.
This project visually explores the concept of the unconscious mind, within my own personal experiences.”

I was born in 1989, in São Paulo, Brazil, and have a BSc degree in Business Administration from FGV – EAESP.
I have always enjoyed art and when I was a child I would be fascinated by the photographs on my father’s National Geographic magazines. This motivated me to start taking pictures. A great deal of what I know today I’ve learned by myself.
I’m currently studying a Postgraduate Diploma in Photography, at the London College of Communication.
