Thicker Than Water.  Human detector

The work of  Seba Kurtis has always highlighted the plight of migrants – especially of undocumented ones – and the consequences of immigration, which represent a key issue in the dynamics of contemporary society.

The Argentine artist, who personally lived this tragic experience, photographed people who were uprooted from their countries of origin and in the places where they now live, he tracks down, through signs and objects, the memory, the current situation and the future aspirations.

His work is not narrative, but rather wants to explore the invisible part of the phenomenon and to evoke the deeper implications of this human condition.
Through the manipulation of the negatives, the images are partly erased or altered, like a metaphor of a psychological violence.
