Alexandra Bellissimo was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. In 2011, she received her B.F.A. in photography from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. Bellissimo has always been inspired to create unique and thought-provoking imagery. Her body of work strongly revolves around the theory of “making” images instead of simply taking pictures.      She applies traditional collaging techniques throughout her photo collage series, “Simulations” and “Metamorphosis”. She constructs each piece by physically cutting, layering, and adhering prints together.
