WANT
‘You have succeeded in life when all you really want is only what you really need.’ Vernon Howard
Want is a project that shows a collective identity shaped by our roles as consumers, against a backdrop of environmental concerns. Consumerism and consumption are at fulfilment of many people but the problem is not the consumption itself but its behavioural pattern and the impact on the environment. The work reflects on the concern for the living planet and the guilty conscience of being lured into living a materialistic life. With these surreal sculptures the work tantalize the viewer’s perspective of denial and lack of control of the environmental impact. from petrascamera.blogspot.it
