Pieter Hugo‘s There’s a Place in Hell for Me and My Friends shows at extraspazio in Rome, Italy, from 17 November to 19 January 2013. The series has been published in book form by oodee. Hugo was one of four artists shortlisted for the Deutsche Börse photography prize 2012, for his Permanent Error series. The exhibition travels to C/O Berlin from 10 November to 13 January.

Hugo’s survey exhibition, This Must Be the Place, opened at the Fotomuseum Den Haag and travelled to the Musée de l’Elysée, Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2012. The survey is accompanied by a book of selected works – see Publications. Recent group exhibitions include Photography of The Rainbow Nation at Museum Beelden aan Zee, The Hague; Africa, There and Back at the Folkwang Museum, Essen, Germany; and the FotoTriennale.dk in Funen, Denmark.
